How we work

Getting to know you

All of our projects begin with research.  We gather information about your company, brand, product or service, competitors, and industry. We’ll ask you to share details about your project, including an overview of your audience, your objectives, and the messages you want to convey. Armed with this information, we’ll create a Statement of Work, describing the details of your project and exactly what services we’ll provide. We’ll also include estimated costs, payment terms, and timelines for completion. With your approval, we’ll begin the work and deliver each phase of your project according to our agreed-upon deadlines.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do we start a project?
If you’re just starting your search, we’ll set up a quick, no-obligation call to make sure we’re a good fit. Once you’re ready to move forward, submit payment for a Brand Roadmap Interview and complete your input brief to share any information you have about your company, products or services, audience, objectives, and the messages you want to convey.

Can you work on-site at my location?
We work with clients around the corner and around the world. We’re based in Austin, Texas, and most of our work is virtual, so our service offerings are priced for virtual meetings. On-site work is negotiable for an additional fee plus travel and expenses, subject to availability.

How do you bill for projects?
We offer packaged services for new brand strategy and identity development and require upfront payment to hold time in our schedule and conduct pre-work for your project. For ongoing or custom project work, we may work on a retainer basis. You’ll receive an invoice by email from Clear Aim LLC, and we accept all major credit cards.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes. We require advance payment before any work begins. This holds space in our calendar and gives you priority over other clients that may wish to hire us during the same time. After our initial fit call, no additional work will be completed prior to receipt of payment.

What happens if I cancel my project?
We understand that things change. If, for any reason, your project is canceled after it begins, we will send you an invoice for any time and effort expended and any expenses incurred up to that point. Payment is due on receipt of the invoice.

Someone else can do it cheaper. Will you match their price?
No. We’re fortunate to have loyal clients who value our work and continue to hire us, so we won’t turn down their projects to work for less than the value we provide. There will always be someone who will do it “cheaper,” but our rates are competitive and based on our knowledge and experience. In limited circumstances, if your organization is contributing to a non-profit community or social impact cause we support, we may consider donating a portion of our time through our Aim for Impact initiative.

Who owns the assets you produce?
Unless we agree otherwise, we reserve the right to maintain and / or display a sample copy in our portfolio. Once you’ve paid for your project in full, you retain all other rights to the original content we create. If we license stock photography, images, or other assets as part of your project, we will provide all necessary documentation along with your final deliverables.

Do you offer graphic design or website development?
We partner with a variety of independent professionals, including graphic designers, website developers, audio and video editors, and other specialists to deliver the projects you need.

I have a project in mind—can you help me plan and put it together?
With experience planning and implementing projects of all types, we can help you turn your idea into a realistic plan and see it through to completion.
